Midwifery & Well Person Services

I offer prenatal visits in my office, located here. During these visits we will discuss your upcoming birth, how you are feeling, how your baby is doing along with the clinical aspects of blood pressure checks, urinalysis, measuring the growth of your uterus and checking baby’s heart rate and position. Lab work and tests are done either in the office or an outside lab, they are discussed in detail so you have the opportunity to decide which ones are right for you. You take an active role in your care with me and decisions are made together. The visits usually last an hour to give plenty of relaxed time to get to know one another and talk about concerns, birth plans/desires and ways to stay healthy and low risk for the remainder of your pregnancy.

My practice offers:

  • Prenatal care
  • Prenatal testing and lab work
  • Referral for ultrasound and collaborative care as needed
  • 24-hour on call services for labor and emergent needs
  • Privacy and respect for clients and their families
  • Continuous hands on assistance during labor and birth in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere
  • Waterbirth
  • Experience with VBAC and breech birth
  • Continuity of care with no separation of family and baby
  • Newborn Exams
  • Well-Person Exams including preventative screenings, Pap tests, blood work, referral for imaging or ultrasound as needed, family planning, STI testing

Prenatal/Postpartum Visits

    • Monthly until 30 weeks
    • Every 2 weeks until 36 weeks
    • Weekly until your baby is born
    • Postpartum care for you and your baby until 6 weeks.

Visits are in a relaxed environment and provide individual care.

Childbirth Education

Childbirth Education is extremely important, especially if this is your first baby. The classes are designed to help you understand your rights as a patient, what choices you have during pregnancy and birth, provide resources, and give you tools to help you during your labor. Please ask me about local classes and support groups.

Postpartum Support

I will follow up with you and your baby in your home at 24-36 hours after the birth. You will then come back to the office at 1 week, 2 week, and 6 weeks. These visits are important to support breastfeeding, address quickly and fix any challenges that may be happening. I encourage you to make a postpartum plan, see more under Sacred Postpartum Services.
